Soft Plastics Recycling
What are soft plastics?
Soft plastic refers to grocery bags, bread bags, bubble wrap, plastic wrappers of products such as biscuits, chips and anything you buy that has a soft plastic sheath.
Where do I recycle my soft plastics?
Clean and gather your bags and wrappers and take them to your nearest participating store (this includes New World’s, Countdowns and Pak n Save’s)
What does this mean?
This means that every Active pouch you recycle in your local Soft Plastics Recycling bins, gets transformed into posts for our Kiwi Farmers!
Kerbside Recycling
What is it?
New Zealand re-processing industries use recycling collected at the kerbside as feedstock to produce new products. These include cardboard, glass bottles and a wide range of plastic goods including matting, sip-sheds and water tanks.

How are our products manufactured?
At Active Dishwashing, every step of our manufacturing process is infused with dedication, innovation, and a passion for delivering superior cleaning solutions to our valued customers across New Zealand.
- Step 1
Here our manufacturing process begins with the arrival of carefully selected raw materials at our state-of-the-art facility nestled in the heart of Manukau, New Zealand. These premium ingredients then undergo quality checks before being taken into our blending room. - Step 2
In the blending room, our skilled team combines the ingredients to craft our signature dishwashing products. With precision and expertise, they ensure each batch meets our high standards of effectiveness and safety. - Step 3
Once blended to perfection, the products make their way to our production team, who swiftly package them in our unique packaging of 100% NZ Kerbside Recycled bottles and Soft Plastics Recyclable pouches. Every bottle and pouch are designed not only for convenience but also with sustainability in mind, reflecting our commitment to environmental stewardship. - Step 4
After packaging, the products are carefully placed into shipper cartons and arranged on pallets by our diligent staff. These pallets are then transferred to our warehouse, where they await for the trucks arrival. From there, the products embark on their journey to supermarkets nationwide, ready to grace the shelves and homes of countless Kiwi households.
